Last Sunday, we had an opportunity to shoot The Children of Sankofa Event which was held at the “Lotus On The Nile.” This event allowed children to enjoy, face painting, yoga, dance, drumming, and healthy treats. It was presented by AKUA. We had a blast hanging out with the youth! It was a “Awesome” experience.

Fresh off the set of her new TVONE Show, “Love That Girl,” is actress, Bresha Webb. We recently had a chance to work with the lovely and talented Ms. Webb during a Hair/Stylist Photo shoot. While some have actresses choose to give up on black Hollywood, Baltimore native and Baltimore School for the Arts alum Bresha Webb has chosen the latter. The 24 year old California Arts Institute of the Arts Alum and former ER star is making a name for herself in Hollywood and giving back all at the same time. She was such a joy to work with. Last weekend, Lamar had the opportunity to shoot a , RISE UP Youth Empowerment Event. The organization is dedicated to empowering girls through mentoring and workshops to live a healthy successful life. RISE UP equips young women with tools and techniques to transition into successful and responsible adults. We had a great time shooting the event and we hope to work with them again in the future.

We recently had a chance to work with a Music Entertainment Company, “The Geek Squad.” They were a lot of fun. We shot most of the scenes at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Park. This entertainment group is very up and coming, and they have just signed several new artists to work with. We wish them lots of good luck and peace….

Here we go with that time of year again. It’s time for this year’s Junior class to start thinking about their senior photos this summer.

That’s right, 2012, I’m talking directly to YOU!

This year we have two HUGE specials for the months of July and August. These months are already booking up and I know once word gets out about our high school senior specials, there won’t be much room for sessions at all. So my advice is to book your sessions now. Seriously.

Hands For Hope 5k Hope Walk Event

Last weekend Lamar was the event photographer for Hands For Hope 5k HopeWalkEvent, a 5k race/walk benefiting the Hands For Hope Organization: (http://www.hands4hope.org/). In addition to them raising funds for their organization, they also raise awareness about health and fitness.

It's always fun to be a part of something new when the people involved are passionate, and overflowing with ideas because our we always leave these events inspired. I hope that we have built a lasting relationship with the director who embrace the need for professional photographic coverage. Lamar gave special attention to capturing storytelling imagery, including before and after the race. He was able to capture shots the organization can use to promote their goals.
